Demographics

According to the 2002 census, Romanians made up 51.54% of the population, Hungarians made up 47.73% and Roma made up 0.71%. The commune of Buza is officially bilingual, with both Romanian and Hungarian languages being recognised officially and used in public signage, education, justice and access to public administration.
